THE STORY BEHIND

Super Sight Words

Super Sight Words – A fun learning game for children in kinder, first, and second grades that will help your child learn their Dolch list and encourage reading fluency and comprehension. Includes special font for children with Dyslexia.

Super Sight Words was co-created by a credentialed elementary teacher and a toy inventor to help encourage your child master their sight words through fun interactions in a game-like setting. Sight words help with mastering reading fluency and this leads to better reading comprehension.
Additionally, because Dyslexia makes learning to read and spell that much more difficult, we wanted our app to offer a special font specifically designed for children with Dyslexia so that they are able to successfully practice reading their sight words too. We hope this feature helps encourage your child to become a super reader!

Features:
• Practice sight words with your child by printing the flash cards included in the app (look for them in the Parents menu).
• Difficulty levels from kinder through second grade allow for progression so that your child remains challenged.
• Encouraging voice prompts make sure your child receives constant positive reinforcement.
• Collectible, printable stickers keep young readers engaged
• Sight words are presented in a fun way.

How did Kwik help?

This is our second app, and were able to have a very polished beta in just a few weeks thanks to Kwik.

What are your favorite features?

The ability to work on placing items on the screen means I can spend more time writing code.

Get yourself organized right from the beginning. One thing I’ll be doing on my next book is setting up a clear structure for naming pages, layers, and actions as they are being created. You may have to play with Kwik a little bit to see what I mean and why this is helpful to have figured out from the start.

Alex’s Review

Rocket Gamelabs created an amazing learning app (their second with Kwik). Lots of resources for parents and your children to learn and play at the same time. I really enjoyed the point system, which offers stickers every time a task is completed. Beautifully designed and really useful. Great job Jorge!
