Cherry At The Stars

I found myself creating and concluding my own app, almost exactly the way I wanted it to be, without even writing a single code. And the simplicity of the whole process still amazes me when I look back.

How did Kwik help?

When I decided to turn my printed childrens’ books “The Adventures of Cherry” into applications to sell on App Store, I knew I had to work with the programmers. My profession is design, illustration and story telling. I know nothing about writing codes. So the whole programming and animation process, and creating an app out of it seemed like an attempt that I could only dream of doing by myself.
Just as I started looking for the right programmers who would do all the work for me, I happened to discover Kwiksher. It was a huge discovery like conquering a new world where everything suddenly turned out to be possible. I found myself creating and concluding my own app, almost exactly the way I wanted it to be, without even writing a single code. And the simplicity of the whole process still amazes me when I look back.

What are your favorite features?

All the features that I used are my favorites actually. The simple looking animation tools of Kwik can create magic results. The story “Cherry at the Stars” is an originally published printed book and I wanted to have that real book taste remain in the application, only having a few interactions and attractions like small movements and sounds in addition. So kids would still feel like reading a book, but in a more fun way. Especially the “hide and show” tool which I used in almost every page, turns the illustrations into simple animations, just the way I want them to be.

Any tips and tricks?

After forming the outline of a project, it would be wise to learn the abilities of Kwik first. And then the final design should be re-created accordingly. This way the designer/programmer could even discover new ways and possibilities for their projects that were not thought of before, and eliminate the ideas that are not compatible with Kwik. Doing so can save a lot of time.
