Key sign

I have read thru all the info that google has provided about generating a key signature, it's pretty vague. My question is this: because I am clearly using quick do i need to use eclipse or jar signer to generate this, or does it matter. I have read tons of tutorials online, but not sure which ones are correct, everyone seems to have their own way of completing this process.
