Windosill by Vector Park is astonishing. It's a beautiful mysterious puzzle with no instructions. You need to figure it out as you go along. You can see a web app version of it here  http://windosill.com/

Stayfun,I love your work!  I have the Timo app and I think your slideshow on apps is just fantastic. I direct everyone who wants to learn about apps to your slideshow first and list it in my page of app resources on my site.http://www.cynthianugent.com/2012/03/picturebook-app-resources.htmlSo great to meet you on the Kwik forum! 🙂 Cynthia

Alex, after downloading The Comet (made with Kwik) I started to explore app makers outside of N America more. I just downloaded the lovely app, Ulysses, by another Italian company Elastico. I am really impressed by how well the interactions, music, great retelling, and narration support and make Homer's story come alive. https://vimeo.com/45667768Cynthia

Really cool (and besides I love the story)! Thanks for sharing. That's is my vision for Kwik 2: enabling people to create stories bringing interactive to the next level - without code (or at least with just a few code 😉 )

Thanks Cynthia! With Timo and the Magical Picture we had made the first dutch Children's Book app. It was all scripted using Xcode. I am a an animator and make animations of Children Books for broadcast. I hope I can use Kwik to make apps myself. There is a big gap between developers and designers. They just don't think the same. I am testing several apps now with Kwik. As an animator I am exploring all of the animation possibilities, like the ease functions and sprite animations.I think I now can finally execute the ideas I have for making great narrative apps!

This is really nice to hear Stayfun saying he can finally execute the ideas he has. Honestly, this is the reason I created Kwik. I sincerely believe EVERY story should be told and, coding has been the factor blocking thousands of people to succeed. Publishers cannot handle the amount of possibilities that the digital era is bringing. Counting days to have your new, made with Kwik, storybooks in my iPad.

Alex, we made a couple of storybook apps using a combination of HTLM5 and Obj-C:Animalia for iPadhttp://itunes.apple.com/app/animalia-for-ipad/id388861927?mt=8The Waterhole - Graeme Basehttp://itunes.apple.com/app/the-waterhole-graeme-base/id502487150?mt=8The Waterhole is pretty much entirely HTML5 (except for some audio fixes) in a native wrapper.I've just looked at the Kwik2 beta and am impressed with the new features. I'm going to seriously look at building the next app with Kwik2. Will likely have to inject some code in, but that looks like it is handled nicely in K2. I'm leaning more towards smaller scale projects and a shorter development time. The downside is less content in each app, the upside is we could potentially release more apps, more stories... The ROI on app development is getting harder to achieve, so spending less time developing an app seems wise... then if it generates interest pushing some updates with more content. This is what we did with Animalia. That said, it's important to get the balance right I think. Some storybook apps don't have enough in them when they are just enhanced eBooks as apps.If you'd like a promo code for either of the above apps, just send me an email liam[at]tootable.comLiam
