Kwiksher’s Partner Program

We would like to announce our Official Certified Partner Program, available to any company or individual who demonstrated good skills using Kwik and that would like to resell the plugin in a specific country or region. With more and more people using Kwik, it is time to increase our official network of experts in sales, training and consulting areas. Program Benefits: Certified Partners will be able to sell Kwik directly to their customers with up to 20% discount (our recommendation is to give 10% discount to the end customer and keep the other 10% as an incentive for the sale); Priority access to the Kwiksher team in support cases; Access to presentations made by the Kwiksher team (so they can localize/edit to their local audience);…

App of the Month: Kids Song Planet

Facebook survey votes (less than twenty votes) did not make justice to the great apps made with Kwik in July. Hopefully this will change in the next months, when people gets familiar with the new App of the Month Award. Kids Song Planet is one of the best apps made with Kwik to date. The illustrations are gorgeous, animations are perfectly timed and the songs selection is addictive. The team from Mooblegum did indeed a great job. With more than 100 interactive elements in 6 songs, 2 mini games, and with the possibility to play the tune together with the song, users will have hours of fun playing! The sing along app is available in both paid and lite versions at Apple and Google Play’s…

Kwik “Next” update: current apps in need!

Dear all, As you know already, I am working on Kwik’s next major release  – more here – and the first step is to keep compatibility with current apps. One of the major changes in the background is to move to Corona Labs’, under development at this moment, new scene/page management system (one of the reasons I cannot start the beta program now). Saying that, I am re-publishing all the demos I have to check if the new code works as expected and, I need your help to check what “real people” are doing with Kwik. If you have a project following the requirement list below, let me know: Your project must be working fine with Kwik 2 (after publishing, everything work as expected in…

Announcing the App of the Month Award

With more and more apps being made with Kwik, we decided, with your help, to reward the best ones every month. Say hello to “App of the Month Award”! Now, when you fill out the submission form to our Showcase (just mouse over the Kwik Showcase link above and you will see the link), you will be invited to add our “Kwik Made” badge to your website. Doing so, you will automatically be running to win the award, if your app is voted the best of the month. Your app will be showcased even if you decide not to share the badge. However, you will not be able to compete in this scenario. Votes will be captured from our Facebook page during the first 3…

What can you expect about Kwik “Next”?

As promised, I would like to give you an update on the planning/designing/developing phases of Kwik “Next” (there is not final name yet for Kwik’s major update, coming in the last quarter of this year). Before anything else, I am assuming you read my last posting about Kwik and Corona and know already that Kwik “Next” will still be available for Corona SDK only. What are the major goals for Kwik “Next”? I have set 3 main goals for the next major release. They are: Phase 1) Code Infrastructure: Some of you probably noticed that large projects may stuck when pages have more than 200 layers/variables (a limitation from Lua). Some developers may need to work with Storyboard API for scene management (Kwik 2 uses Director)….

What is in the future for Kwiksher?

Now that everybody knows the news (in case you were disconnected last week, take a look at our big announcement), I think it is important to clarify some topics and provide a glimpse of the things in our pipe for the future months. First of all, I would like to reinforce my happiness in having both David and Carlos on board. More than good friends, they share the same vision I have for the future. Their arrival also means Kwiksher is in the right path to fulfill my goal in providing tools to creative people, enabling them to bring their stories to life. In sum, it is a recognition that together, you, the user, and I, have done something good in these past two years. As Carlos is the current…
