Swipea Tangram Puzzles: Cats is the first in a series of toy-like apps for puzzle lovers. Tangram puzzles are fun and mentally beneficial for kids. Even though a tangram puzzle when put together looks like a cat, it is visually difficult for kids to image what the cat is actually doing. We felt tangram puzzles become more enjoyable and educational for kids when they see cute and matching illustrations.
What are your favorite features?
To create this app we mainly used the switch and drag functions. Illustrations aside, it took us only a few days to put this app together, including researching on how to improve the drag experience.
Any tips or tricks to share?
To make the tangram puzzles friendlier to play with, we tweaked the codes in the SPIN function to improve the drag and rotate experience thus making it easier to control and more intuitive for kids. The Corona forum is a good place to start to learn more about this function by ChunkyApps.
