The continuing story of a gopher who’s new home is invaded by earth worms. We pick up on our second story with Gary calmly sleeping in his one room gopher apartment but he is awakened one night by a bunch of earthworms. They like Gary’s new place just as much as he does and Gary comes up with all kinds of ways to rid himself of his new pests with no success until the answer hits him right in the face. Rick Walton and Will Terry team up for a second fun packed children’s story app full of interactivity and a hidden surprise on almost every page. Complete with highlighted text and professional voice actors this story app will keep kids engaged as they learn to read.
How did Kwik help?
Kwik is super fast for development, the total amount of time I spent on Gary’s Worms was around three weeks. Because Kkwik takes care of the programming side you can focus all of your efforts on making a better and more stable app.
What are your favorite features?
The feature that I use most is definitely the Actions. That is where you are going to find your customizability, setting complicated animations and events to trigger in sequence is something that would be almost impossible with out the organization provided by actions.
Any tips and tricks to share?
Kwik can pretty much do anything. Don’t think in terms of what you can or can’t do. Try to think in terms of how you can do what you want to.
I don’t need to repeat (although I am doing already) that Will Terry is one of my favorite illustrators and I am really happy to see him expanding his portfolio with apps made with Kwik. Gary’s Worm is funny and brings even more cool moments from my favorite gopher!
