Thanks for the reply Alex.I managed to work around the problem 🙂
You may set different settings for your project but it is important to understand that each layer is copied to another file during the export process, and this is the reason some of global settings/blends/etc are not applied - it is impossible to capture all the settings Photoshop applies in each file, copy them, then apply them to a new file. I did my best with the most used ones.I am adding the global light checking in the future feature list.
Thaaaaaaank you!!!!!! That would really help! Maybe a checkbox to apply global light/settings at compiling time 🙂
I managed to fix the colours. I think when I updated my browser, it must've reset the Flash settings.Anyway, this stil does not fix the other issue. Take a look at the following screenshots. One of them is before touching the screen to draw, and the other one is after drawing. Any ideas where that semi-transparent square is coming from?
You are right…I'll have to see how other colours behave.Thanks;
Hmm. So, what is the best way to set this up? Making the outline layer transparent and then allowing the painting to happen on the layer underneath? I've tried this, but when using black ink, it just paints on top of everything, including outlines…am I doing something wrong?
Ok. I will play with that once Sep. 18 comes around. So I am encountering another issue. I have a layer with an action to hide itself upon being touched. on top of that layer, I have another layer (button) that links to my twitter page. The problem I am having is that when I tap on the twitter icon, it executes the close action (from the layer bellow) instead. How does Kwik handle overlaying buttons?thanks.
YESS!!! Thanks Alex. Great tutorial!
Hi Alex. I tried this, but it didn't make a noticeable difference. I got thinking about the code you suggested changing to give the brush a "feathered" effect, and decided to try that later in K2. I do have a new question/feature request for you. Would you be able to enable alpha calibration of the paint? This way, when colouring a sketch, kids will still be able to see the outline of the drawing. I haven't had much time to play with K2, so I'm not even sure if this is already implemented, but it would be a really great feature to have. One that I would be willing to pay extra for.Thanks
billiamsw.I had the same problem with some of those tools. The images seemed visible on my mac, but after compiling with corona, they were not visible in the app. One thing I know for sure is that some of those tools crush the png's with similar algorithms as the ones apple uses (or corona) to compress them, making them not viewable. If you go to your .app folder, you will notice that none of those images can be displayed (after going through corona sdk/xcode). Did you run the original images (of the "broken" ones) through smushit? or the ones that came out of tinyPNG? I'm very interested about this.Thanks;
Thanks Alex. We're almost there! We're polishing the interface and finishing up a couple of features. It looks gorgeous!One last question, a bit off topic, but along the lines of menu buttons. What's the best way to simulate the push-down effect on a button? K1 seems to execute actions "on-release" rather than "on-pressed". Can this be done in K1, or K2? I haven't been able to find it.Thanks;
I'll try that put. My app is being reviewed right now, so I'll have to wait.
Hello Alex.Just a quick Weston about the canvas option. You you be able to increase the rate by which the circles are drawn in an update maybe? I'm not sure how it works in the background, if it would inpact the CPU, but one of my apps would greatly benefit from this. Any thoughts?Thanks!
I have a question about that. I am wondering if installing K2 will break any of the settings in K1 (if the same folder is chosen). I wouldn't want to break my current installation.
Thanks so much for the tip. 🙂
