Christopher, if you are reformatting your computer more than 4 times an year, you are probably making backups, right? If you do so, no worries here. Simply restore back your kwkcontrol.cfg file under your Documents/Kwik folder.Reset means to use Kwik in a brand new Photoshop installation.
I do have full backups but rarely restore exactly from backup and typically will install fresh and restore apps. Performance or some issue becomes a problem every 6 months or so. I don't do this four times a year typically but sometimes it is that bad. For example I recently tried Windows 8 and went back to Windows 7. That was two new installs. I also run Mac and PC side by side. A "release license" is much more user friendly like the majority of apps out there. Texture Packet, Corona, to name a few you likely use that do this. This prevents piracy but does notPunish the customer for buggy software fouling up their machine. In the rare case may need to reset all activations if cant release the license prior to reinstall (more serious crash or drive loss). I bought Kwiksher 2 but haven't installed because I am in theMiddle of multiple machine upgrades and I haven't started on an ebook. I'm an extreme case but far from exclusive. I also haven't installed yet as I still only own CS4 Design Premium and haven't got my CS6 upgrade yet. Once I'm ready to start a book I plan on upgrading likely to creative cloud as I need pc and Mac versions. It may be a year or even two but I will run into using up four activations and buying a new license to software I already purchased is bad business and something I wouldn't do.
Ideally, we would use iPad 2 assets to do the development, and then pick what platforms we want to release it to when publishing.
really good list of ideas, hard to pick from but here is what I think:- enable app review/ratings - Parental control options- import sprite sheets in @2 sizes
Nope. CS5 and CS6 (BTW, you probably know already Kwik is not compatible with CS4)
Yeah, I'm testing on a temporary Mac as I am a windows user so I just downloaded CS6 trial. Well at least I know it isn't me, I was pulling my hair out for a while trying to get this to work.
Is it only in CS6?I am using CS6 trial right now as I have CS4 Design Premium and would need to upgrade.
I will need a few more time as I will need to find why some text layers are exporting well and others not (even in a same page). You are not alone in this issue and as soon as I discover why Photoshop is sending different data for layers with the same content I will fix the issue. Keep the faith 🙂
Just FYI,This happens in v1 and v2 beta.
Anything new on this? I still can't get past this issue.I sent over the test project via email.
to which email have you sent the zipped files?
I used the forums to send email to your account, but I ended up resending it to the support email address directly.
Send me your project and I will check.
Just sent it, thanks. (This is currently in v2, but I was running into the same problem with v1 and working back and forth between the two).
Same problem in v2.Same amount of words in the word layer and the label file.Text layer name is only "HelloWorld"No strange characters, a-z & , .I tried the color thing and re-picked a color and didn't change anything. It just sits on "Processing Layer HelloWorld"
That's good to hear, thanks.
I looked at the learn page, much of it is old and not in depth (same with the YouTube channel). The blog, I found a few how to, but there didn't seem to be much and many of them the images don't work. That leaves the user guide. Is that any good? I haven't purchased yet as I am just using the trial to experiment with it and v2, but it seems it's going to be a lot of experimentation to figure it out.I've been messing around with it, and it's easy to use and all but to get exactly what you want is going to take a lot of experimentation without some sort of guide. It would be awesome to have a video series start to finish on an book with a decent amount of functionality.I'm all ready to buy it, but I can't seem to find good documentation on how to use it, and I don't want to waste a lot of time guessing.
