Hi Alex.I took a pause from my project for a few weeks, to keep up with school. I updated from version 2.0.4 to 2.0.12. I opened my project and I started working on some actions. They're very simple, just Show/Hide ones, and combined them with other ones. Well, I encountered some serious issues.http://db.tt/o1verfI1I deleted the action. Re-published, restarted Kwik, republished. Cleared all actions, re-published, and it kept happening. It's as if each time I add a Show/Hide action, it takes the value of the lastly created one and copies it. When there is no previously added item (within the action), the id shows empty. When there is a previous item (within the action), it copies the id. Creating mixed effects and triggering wrong actions.Other issues I had were some actions named "GotoPage_###" (###= number). This has never really happened to me. Although I haven't used kwik in the last few weeks. I recently deleted a whole page, which was loaded with actions, buttons, etc. And decided to redesign my approach...could that have broken things? I don't see why it would have...Any ideas?Thanks;Mike
October 21, 2012 at 8:33 am #13335Ok, so I created a new page and selected the option to “copy all content” and it seems to take my changes now…weird. I may have to just delete that page altogether…still very weird.
October 22, 2012 at 5:42 am #13336I just want to give an update about my issue. My problem repeated itself again. Every time I have created a new page, I have copied the content from another page (including actions, etc). I have yet to try creating a page from a current page, but without copying actions. That's next in my list. This is still a very awkward and frustrating problem... Anyone else having problems like these? It seems to only happen with Show/Hide actions/button... could someone else try to create a copy of an existing page, include all actions/buttons, etc, and try to add a Show/Hide button and look closely at the ID to see if it's duplicated (or omitted)? Thanks.
October 22, 2012 at 5:55 am #13337Just tested copying only the page, made a group composed of 3 elements. Created a Show/Hide action that hides the group and shows a new element…it happened again.My next trial is to do it on a brand new page, with dummy images.Notice the ID in this case is "reload". It should be act_###.
October 22, 2012 at 6:06 am #13338My test gave me the same results.
October 22, 2012 at 6:42 am #13339I am not sure why this is happening to me, or why it is happen randomly. I don't quite understand, but I do know it's a vicious bug. I created a new project, as I show in the screeenshot below. I still have the problem. In this case, there is no ID. So the actions never get executed.My Flash setting works (I have been able to test it with the Canvas feature). So that's not the problem. Could someone else test this out for me? I am also attaching the project as a zip.http://www.dropbox.com/s/uq25a5pwquvx2tb/testproj.zip

October 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm #13340Mike, not every interaction needs an id. I just downloaded your project and publish it without any problem. What do you mean by actions "never executed"? You must set a trigger for the action. In you current project the action exists but there is nothing calling it (a button, a drag, etc).
October 22, 2012 at 7:43 pm #13341Well, publishing works fine. But when the actions is to take place, it doesn't work. I'm not referring to the sample project I made. That one was to show the problem with the ID's being empty… This still does not explain the problem with the duplicate ID's, which is in the end my problem. Please see the other screenshots I attached. I can try to replicate the problem of duplicate ID's when I get home, and upload the project for you to see.Thanks;

October 22, 2012 at 8:27 pm #13343can you please send me your project with instructions on how to find/reproduce the issue? I couldn't understand/reproduce yet your issue. Sorry 🙁
October 23, 2012 at 4:41 am #13345Here it is Alex.The main problem is that a Show/Hide action takes the name of the last added action. At times it is random. I am very confused ???Here is the project:http://db.tt/35pv83SGTry adding another Show/Hide action to an existing button. See what happens.Thanks for looking into this. Also, try compiling it and triggering a button, a bunch of errors will show up.

October 23, 2012 at 2:20 pm #13346The issue with the attached project is the fact you have a layer used a Over State (you) being added to a group (it generates an error because Over state layers DO NOT render in the lua page – they are only used for the over state and NOTHING else – this is documented in the Button page).I don't know if this is the issue you are facing or if it is just masking other issues. Please clarify.Alex
