I would love to know how to make a children’s interactive book library app. I would like to know how to put a whole library of books into one app with either a subscription or the opportunity to unlock extra books for a fee. Something similar to the pickatale app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pickatale-200-interactive-childrens-books/id669433655?mt=8 or https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snuggle-stories-interactive-storybooks-for-kids/id957190002?mt=8 would be great (but with 10-15 books)!YamamotoKeymasterJune 16, 2017 at 10:33 pm #85338
For short stories to be downloaded, the following method would work.
For the long whole books to be downloaded in the one app, different architecture would be taken. I will do some investigation next month. For instance, using WebView to show the story in html from the server (but kwik does not support creating html contents)June 22, 2017 at 12:44 pm #85339
Each book would have about 20 or so pages. Is it possible to create each storybook with kwik then bundle them with another program? Anything would help because this is what my boss wants and I have no idea how to do it.YamamotoKeymasterJune 25, 2017 at 8:57 pm #85343
here is what I am thinking
now working on the template version.June 29, 2017 at 5:37 pm #85351
I was thinking of doing an embedded version but I never though about doing the template version. I think either one would work. You are the expert so I don’t know which one would be better. Thank you so much for working on this!June 29, 2017 at 5:52 pm #85352
My only concerns would be that the template version wouldn’t give me the flexibility to make different animations for each book. I’m also concerned that the embedded version would take up too much memory but I doubt I would ever have more than 20 books in the app.
