Countdown
Countdown

Countdown Replacement window allows you to configure a text layer that will act as a countdown timer. Countdown layers will not render as images but as real text (be careful because text renders differently in different platforms. It is always a good idea to test the final project in the destination device). Select the layer you want to add the Countdown feature and click the Countdown replacement. The following window appears:

-
Use native system font checkbox: When enabled, it will use the device’s default font, instead the original font used in Photoshop.
The benefit of doing that is the fact you will not need to worry importing and testing the original font in the devices. If disabled, Kwik will ask for the font file when publishing (it will be copied and attached to the final build folder).
External fonts may require some manual input. For more info, read the How to Use Custom Fonts from Solar2D documentation.
you must have the rights to use an external font. Kwiksher is not responsible for any font used in your projects.
-
Offset adds pixels to fix the correct position of the text in the final projects (offset varies according different devices. Check in the Simulator and finds the best option for your project).
-
Time field entry: the amount of seconds of your countdown. For example, if you want a countdown of two minutes, enter 120 (60 seconds * 2 minutes).
-
Starts: sets when the countdown starts. Options are:
-
When page starts: in this case, the countdown automatically starts with the page;
-
Wait request: in this case, the countdown will only play if activated by a button or action;
-
-
Action: If an action needs to be triggered when the countdown ends (arrives at 0:00), select the appropriated action in the Trigger action on complete list.
